Specs & Fluid Capacities

Oil, coolant and fluid capacities and types — for one exact vehicle.

Capacities & types from OEM data

Every capacity is the factory figure for that exact year, make, model and engine — engine oil and filter, coolant, transmission and more, each with the specified fluid type. Pick a make to find yours, or browse vehicles grouped by a shared oil capacity.

What the terms mean

Engine oil capacity — the total the crankcase holds at an oil-and-filter change, in quarts or litres, alongside the specified viscosity grade (e.g. 5W-30) and oil standard (API / ILSAC).

Coolant capacity — the cooling system's total volume — radiator, engine block and reservoir — with the required coolant type and mix ratio.

Transmission fluid — usually the drain-and-refill amount (less than a full dry rebuild), with the exact ATF or gear-oil specification the gearbox needs.

Other fluids — brake, power-steering, differential and transfer-case capacities are listed wherever the factory publishes them.

Refill vs dry capacity — a service refill replaces only what drains out; a dry capacity is the full amount after a rebuild — figures here are the service refill unless noted.
