Code B0011 indicates a fault in the passenger frontal airbag stage 2 deployment control circuit. The airbag control module has detected an open, short, or resistance issue in the circuit that commands the second stage of the dual-stage passenger frontal airbag. This fault typically disables the passenger frontal airbag system and illuminates the airbag warning lamp.

  2. Inspect passenger airbag module connector and clock spring connector for damage, corrosion, or bent terminals.
  3. Measure resistance of the passenger stage 2 deployment loop at the airbag control module connector per service information; compare to specification.
  4. If resistance is out of range, isolate the circuit by disconnecting the passenger airbag module and clock spring to determine which segment is faulty.
  5. Verify clock spring continuity for the stage 2 circuit with the steering wheel centered and at lock-to-lock positions.
