  3. Check for proper reference voltage and ground at the sensor connector using a multimeter while referring to manufacturer wiring diagrams.
  4. Monitor the O2 sensor voltage data with a scan tool or oscilloscope; a properly functioning sensor should cycle between approximately 0.1V (lean) and 0.9V (rich). A flatline signal confirms the circuit malfunction.
