1. Faulty B camshaft position actuator (VVT solenoid)

4. Clogged oil passages or contaminated oil

Sludge, debris, or varnished passages restrict oil flow to the camshaft phaser, leading to improper actuator operation and a low-circuit fault.

5. Worn or failed camshaft phaser

Mechanical wear in the phaser itself can prevent the actuator from moving the camshaft as commanded, indirectly producing the low-circuit reading.

6. PCM/ECM driver fault (rare)
