P2332 indicates a fault detected in the secondary (high-voltage) circuit of ignition coil "K" — typically the coil serving cylinder 11 in the SAE A-P cylinder numbering convention. The engine computer has seen an abnormal condition in the high-voltage path from the coil to the spark plug, which usually produces a misfire on that cylinder.

4. Wiring or connector fault in the coil circuit

Corroded, loose, or damaged terminals in the coil primary connector, or chafed wiring near the coil, can disrupt coil operation and set a secondary-circuit code.

5. Engine control module (PCM/ECM) failure

A failed coil driver inside the PCM is possible but uncommon; this should only be considered after the coil, spark plug/boot, and wiring have been ruled out.

How it's diagnosed

  1. Identify which cylinder coil "K" serves for the specific vehicle (usually cylinder 11) and inspect the coil, boot, and spark plug for cracks, carbon tracks, oil contamination, or corrosion.
  2. Swap the suspected coil with a known-good coil from another cylinder; clear the code and see whether the misfire/code follows the coil or stays at the original cylinder.
  3. Remove and inspect the spark plug for wear, fouling, or cracks; check the plug gap and compare it to specification before reinstalling or replacing.
  4. Check the coil electrical connector and harness for bent pins, corrosion, damaged wires, or poor grounds; repair any wiring issues found.
  5. If the coil, plug, boot, and wiring are all verified good yet the code returns, test the coil driver/control circuit and evaluate the PCM only as a last resort.
