The 2014 Honda Accord sits within a generation (2013-2017) that shows a steady decline in total complaints, falling from 1,418 in 2013 to 527 by 2017. With 970 complaints, the 2014 model represents a notable improvement over the preceding year, though it remains higher than the 594 complaints reported for 2015. Recall and investigation counts for 2014 remained low and stable with 4 recalls and 3 investigations, mirroring the general trend of the surrounding years. The primary areas of concern for 2014 were the electrical system with 198 complaints, followed by the engine and steering, though the data does not specify the root causes of these issues. Because it marks a clear downward trend in complaints from the generation's debut, the 2014 model is a good year to buy.
